We're brand new. Tethered Pet is just getting started, and we're working with our first shelters and rescues now. The first featured dogs are on their way.

Tethered Pet is a connector, not an adoption agency. We never take custody of an animal, never screen adopters and never collect adoption fees. Every adoption is completed directly with the shelter or rescue.

A shelter or rescue tells us which dog could use more eyes. We write the feature from their public listing, with their photos.

We feature a single adoptable dog and follow their story over several days, so people get to know who they really are.

Two rescue dogs, one idea.
Tethered Pet was started by Yifu Pan, who has adopted dogs and is now the proud owner of two rescue dogs. Shelters and rescues are full of dogs whose personalities never come through in a single photo. We want to give each of them a little more time in the spotlight, and send the people who fall for them straight to the rescue.

- A quick note when a dog is adopted, so we can update the feature the same day.
